Donate old favorites, discover new ones, and act sustainably – all of this is possible with the new theme at WirkRaum in Dornbirn. The event kicks off with an evening event on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m., where not only clothing but also ideas can be exchanged.

Swapping has a long tradition and is currently experiencing a resurgence as a sustainable alternative to pure consumption, as it not only saves money but also contributes to a more conscious lifestyle. With a new series of events in the coming weeks, the Wirkraum team will demonstrate how diverse and inspiring swapping culture can be – from practical clothing swaps at the "Open Wardrobe" to discussion and participation formats. The kick-off event on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m. will not only provide an overview of the planned events but also feature exciting input from experts. At the same time, the "Open Wardrobe" invites visitors to bring their own clothing and accessories and exchange them for new favorite pieces. Drinks and snacks will also provide ample opportunity for discussion that evening.

Discover vintage treasures

The new theme "Take Something and Bring Something" at WirkRaum in Dornbirn, from September 2nd to November 14th, will be all about sharing, swapping, and reusing. "Together, we want to learn from each other, network, and discover how we can conserve resources and make consumption more conscious," explains project coordinator Verena Sieber. In addition to the "Open Wardrobe," which is freely accessible during WirkRaum's opening hours, numerous events are also planned.

On Saturday, September 13th, the WirkRaum team invites you to the "flick & chill – handicraft café." From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we'll crochet, sew, knit, and chat together in a relaxed atmosphere, amidst a living room vibe. Another highlight is the techno swap on Friday, October 3rd, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., where the finest techno meets vintage treasures. "Everyone is cordially invited to attend our events and actively participate in the swap culture," says Verena Sieber, looking forward to a diverse series of events.
