Lufthansa: Condor sues against entry into Ita

The Lufthansa competitor argues that the takeover should not have been approved. The conditions imposed were insufficient to offset the competitive disadvantages resulting from the transaction, the company argues. It is calling on the EU General Court to annul the decision.

Previously 41 percent of Ita shares at Lufthansa

In July 2024, the EU Commission conditionally approved the gradual takeover of Alitalia's successor by the Lufthansa Group. Since January of this year, the MDAX-listed group has initially held 41 percent of ITA's shares in return for a capital contribution of €325 million. Further steps up to the full takeover have been agreed.
