Madness in the NBA - What Lakers fans shout about Doncic's actions is the mega mockery for all Dallas fans

Los Angeles Lakers fans broke out into loud chants of "Thank you, Nico!" when Luka Doncic stepped to the free throw line in the game against the Dallas Mavericks. The chants are sheer mockery for Mavericks fans.
The game was Doncic's first against his former team since the blockbuster trade that sent him, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to Los Angeles in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick.
When Doncic stepped to the free throw line in the second quarter of the game in Los Angeles, the nearly 20,000 fans in attendance began chanting: "Thank you, Nico!"
The sarcastic chant was a clear jab at the Mavericks' front office, which has been relentlessly criticized for trading away its 25-year-old superstar. Doncic, who has slowly been getting back into form since arriving in Los Angeles, sank all three free throws and laughed.
The chants weren't the only time Lakers fans expressed their emotions. As Harrison walked down the tunnel at halftime, fans once again serenaded him with, "Good trade, Nico! We love you, Nico!" - a level of derision that highlights just how one-sided this deal appears to be.
Doncic then recorded his first triple-double as a Laker with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists in the Lakers' 107-99 win over the Mavericks.
