Meyer Burger announced on Friday that it was halting its ramp-up solar module production in the USA due to a lack of financial resources. All remaining 282 employees at the Goodyear site in Arizona were given notice of termination. Production was immediately halted, and the future of the site remains uncertain. Meyer Burger is continuing negotiations with a group of bondholders regarding a restructuring of the company.
