Germany has voted - and how! Not only is there a shift to the right, but suddenly a shift to the left as well. Until the final counts, it was not clear who would end up in the Bundestag and whose political career would be ended. There are no longer any big winners; Germany's political future is open again. The CDU , SPD and Greens' mutually converging centrist course could be buried for good in the coming legislative period.
