Tempelhofer Feld: International ideas competition enters second round

The first phase of the international ideas competition for the urban and open space planning design of Tempelhofer Feld has now been completed. The jury, consisting of eleven voting members, met at the weekend and selected 20 designs that will be further developed in the next phase. The Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing announced this on Facebook. The jury includes five elected citizens and six experts from the fields of urban planning, architecture and landscape architecture.
A total of 164 works were submitted. The second phase of the competition will end with a final jury meeting on June 20 and 21, 2025, at which five works will be selected. These are intended to contribute to the discussion about the future use of Tempelhofer Feld. The results of the individual phases will remain anonymous for the time being in order to uphold the guidelines for planning competitions.
Following the selection, the third dialogue workshop will examine the winning ideas in July 2025. A public exhibition of all designs from the first two phases is planned for September 2025.
