Anja Troff-Schaffarzyk is a member of the Bundestag for the SPD and ran for the constituency of Unterems (Lower Saxony). The politician was born in Jemgum in East Frisia in 1969.
She has been a member of the SPD since 2006 and is a deputy member of the Health Committee in the Bundestag. In her home region, she works as chairwoman of the Leer district SPD and has been on the Weser-Ems district board since 2019.
The politician is a trained educator and, after completing the relevant training, studied pedagogy at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, graduating with a degree in education with a focus on adult education. (cben)
