Mallorca flight has to be diverted: 200 passengers land in Hanover instead of Berlin

The flight from Mallorca to Berlin took off with a delay of almost four hours. However, the more than 200 passengers ended up landing not in the capital, but in Hanover.
A flight from Mallorca had an unhappy ending on Tuesday evening. Instead of landing in Berlin, the more than 200 passengers disembarked in Hanover and had to take a bus to the capital. The reason: The A321 aircraft had to be diverted due to the night flight ban, reports " Bild ."
The Eurowings flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Berlin at 9 p.m., according to data from "Flightradar 24" – but a storm thwarted this plan. Instead of 6:20 p.m., the plane was unable to take off until 10:15 p.m.
Berlin Airport's website informs that a night flight ban is in effect between midnight and 5 a.m. Regular scheduled flights are prohibited during these hours. However, postal, government, surveying, and ambulance flights are permitted. At Hannover-Langenhagen Airport, however, there is no night flight ban.

According to "Bild," this meant that passengers would have to travel by bus from Hanover to Berlin. Instead of arriving on Tuesday evening, they would arrive at their destination on Wednesday morning.
"Instead, the passengers had to travel by bus from Hanover to Berlin for about three hours," an airline spokesperson said at the time.
