The American said he will be fighting against a 'Canelo' Álvarez at his best.
“I would definitely put myself in the Top 5. I’m moving up three weight classes, fighting one of the best Mexicans of all time, at his weight, with no rehydration clause, no nothing. You’re just fighting him at his best,” he said.
The fight between Terence Crawford and 'Canelo' Álvarez has not yet been made official, but it is expected to take place next September.
The American is undefeated (41 wins, 31 by knockout) and is currently the WBA junior middleweight champion and is considered one of the best boxers of his generation.
