Calamuchita: rescuers found a tourist who was being searched for in the El Durazno River

Rescuers from various forces searched on Monday afternoon for a tourist who entered the El Durazno River to swim, in the "Los Cajones" sector and did not return. The missing man was identified as Nicolás Reynoso (34), originally from Venado Tuerto, province of Santa Fe. Finally, at night he was found and, according to official sources, in good health.
The complaint was made by his wife, Cintia Sosa (37), who - according to the police report - saw her husband for the last time at 10:30. However, there were witnesses who saw him about three hours later, swimming downriver at a distance of between 500 and 600 meters where his family had last had contact.

Sources close to the investigation said he was a frequent visitor and familiar with the river and mountains, and that he knows how to swim.
The search began around 4 pm, both in the riverbed and in the surroundings, in a steep area. Firefighters from Villa Yacanto, personnel from Duar, police officers, members of Etac, members of Civil Defense and the local Citizen Guard are working. An operations table was established to determine the actions to be taken.
"We have intensified the search downriver, in the area called Paraje Los Gauchos, on the road to Estancia La Florida and where the El Durazno and Las Letanías rivers meet, at the source of the Río Grande," said Walter Alvarez of the local fire department. If there is no news, the operation will continue until daylight permits and will resume early Tuesday.
