Daniel Suarez and the NASCAR Cup stars prepare for race in Mexico

NASCAR Cup has given the starting signal for ticket sales for the race that will take place from June 13 to 15, 2025 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
On the morning of Wednesday, February 26, top executives of the American category, along with several of its most important drivers, including Mexican Daniel Suárez, held a press conference in the country's capital, where they shared their impressions ahead of the first scoring date that the main stock car category will hold since 1952.
“We believe we have the best racing style in the world. We believe we also have drivers who want to meet our fans and we want to develop more and more stock car racing in the country. And we are very excited to be here,” said Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR Chief Operating Officer.
The presentation was attended by drivers Ryan Blaney, the 2023 Cup champion, Chase Elliott, the most popular driver in the series, and Christopher Bell , winner of the race held last Sunday at the Atlanta oval. The three, along with Daniel Suárez, visited the Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez for a first reconnaissance of the track, which will have 14 curves and 3.89 kilometers. The main race is expected to cover 100 laps, with an approximate distance of 387 kilometers.
WE RECOMMEND: Ticket prices for the NASCAR Cup in Mexico
Ticket prices start at one thousand pesos and are a pass for three days of activities at the Hermanos Rodriguez Racetrack, which will include NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Mexico races.
With up to 100 cars in total, organizers are confident that expectations for the event will only increase as the date approaches.
“There will be plenty of activity on the track. Races with very close contacts. These race formats make it very spectacular for fans,” said Federico Alamán, Commercial Director of Grupo CIE.
“The truth is that it will be an unprecedented event.”
Daniel Suárez, who competes with Trackhouse Racing in the Cup Series, cannot wait to race in front of his country and fight for the long-awaited victory.
“I am trying to enjoy every moment because when we were here six months ago it was definitely very special, but every month there is more energy, more excited people, it seems more real that we will be here on June 13 to June 15,” said the Monterrey native.
