Israeli officials praise Trump's military action against Iran: 'A courageous step for regional security'
Some of Israel's top government ministers congratulated US President Donald Trump early Sunday after he joined the offensive against Iran with the bombing of the three main facilities of Iran's nuclear program.
"I congratulate US President Donald Trump on his historic decision to destroy the three nuclear facilities in Iran to continue the Israeli operation and ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon that endangers Israel, the countries of the region, and the national security of the United States," said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.
Even his predecessor, former minister Yoav Gallant , also spoke out on his X account about the US intervention in this conflict, which he said will bring more security to Israel and the Middle East.

Secretary of State Gideon Saar also praised Trump, saying he "wrote his name tonight in gold letters in the history books."
"He will forever be remembered as a true friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel," he added in a message posted on his X account.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a radical and settler, expressed similar sentiments, thanking Trump for his "unwavering commitment to the State of Israel and world peace."
Israeli President Isaac Herzog also applauded Trump's decision in a statement, saying that "this is a moment when the principles of freedom, responsibility, and security have triumphed."
"This courageous step contributes to the security of the entire free world. I hope it will lead to a better future for the Middle East and contribute to the urgent release of our hostages held captive in Gaza," the Israeli president added.
The United States abruptly joined the Israeli offensive against Iran on Saturday with the bombing of the three main facilities of Iran's nuclear program, while President Donald Trump threatened the Tehran regime with more attacks if "peace doesn't come quickly."
