The actress's mother, Lana Trachtenberg, found her unconscious and unresponsive in her New York City apartment around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The actress's representative later confirmed the news to Us Weekly in a statement.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy in light of their loss. There are no further details at this time.”

Over the past year, the actress has raised concerns among her followers about her health. In January 2024, she responded to comments on Instagram questioning her appearance, denying having undergone cosmetic procedures.
