Poza Rica councilman kidnapped; he was shot in January

This afternoon , Victor Manuel Rodriguez Cobos, eighth councilman in the city council of Poza Rica , Veracruz , and aspiring PRI candidate for the municipal presidency, was kidnapped . A few days ago he was the victim of an attack when he was outside the regional hospital in this city.
According to preliminary reports, the PRI councilman was in his vehicle while his driver had gotten out to pick up some documents at the intersection of Independencia Avenue and Francisco Sarabia Street, in the Manuel Ávila Camacho neighborhood. When he returned, he allegedly saw how some armed men were putting him in another vehicle.
He immediately requested the support of the authorities and activated the Red Security Code to begin a search throughout the region.
It is worth mentioning that Víctor Manuel Rodríguez Cobos was the victim of a shooting on January 22, when he was leaving after having distributed food to the relatives of the patients admitted to the hospital, an event in which his family and some of his assistants from the eighth council participated.
What is known is that he is currently convalescing and under protection , because he was preparing to register as a candidate for the municipal presidency of Poza Rica for the PRI in the city of Xalapa, next weekend.
