The deadline to request the replacement of the INE credential in Yucatan ends on February 28

MÉRIDA, Yucatán.— Next Friday, February 28, is the deadline to request replacements for voting credentials that have been lost, stolen, damaged or deteriorated, including those valid for “2024,” as long as they do not require modifying or updating any data.

The member of the Federal Registry of Voters (RFE) of the National Electoral Institute (INE) in Yucatan , Eliézer Serrano Rodríguez, highlighted that to facilitate the process of credential replacements, attention will be provided from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the modules located in the Plaza Dorada shopping center, in the México neighborhood and in Kanasín .

In turn, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the modules located in the city center (near the San Benito market) and on Juan Pablo II Avenue (in front of the Xoclán cemetery), as well as those located in Valladolid, Tizimín, Progreso and Ticul, while the seven mobile modules will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In Yucatan, after February 10 - the date on which the electoral roll closed for registration and data updates - 8,815 replacement procedures have been carried out. Meanwhile, the information cut-off made on February 20, 2025, shows that in Yucatan there are 1,779,406 people with a valid credential to vote in the June 1 elections. Also, in the modules there are 19,500 credentials pending delivery. The deadline to return for the credential that was requested is March 31.
