On the night of Thursday, June 19, the contestants of 'MasterChef Celebrity' faced off again in a mystery box challenge , which was taken on in pairs, according to the instructions of the judges and host Claudia Bahamón.

This time, the competitors had to prepare a complete dish featuring their unexpectedly chosen protein. At the end of the day, those who presented a well-prepared recipe would receive an immunity pin, and those who made the most mistakes would be required to wear a black apron.

Once the 60 minutes were up, Bahamón stopped the clock and asked everyone on the reality show to raise their hands to stop the preparations and prevent any fouls from being committed.

The first to take the stage were Julián Zuluaga and Luisfer Hoyos , who made a “bed of kidneys” that was not highly praised by the chefs, because the protein was raw and the mashed potatoes needed more butter.

Next up was Nicolás Montero and Michelle Rouillard, with their dish "Acordar," which featured undercooked liver . According to Jorge Rausch, the ideal color for this organ is "pink, not red."

Another team that didn't receive the best reviews during the tasting was the one created by Violeta Bergonzi and Luly Bossa. For the challenge, the celebrities decided to take a risk with yuca carimañolas stuffed with sweetbreads , but chef Belén Alonso considered the dish's presentation to be monochromatic.

After trying each of the recipes, the three judges decided that Caterin Escobar and Carolina Sabino were the ones to take home the immunity pin for today's episode, because their chunchullo was perfect and had different textures.

Regarding the black apron decision, the chefs announced that the rules had changed, as two teams had left their assigned protein raw, leaving Nicolás Montero, Michelle Rouillard, Luisfer Hoyos, and Julián Zuluaga at risk of elimination.
