In recent days, a 13-year-old boy of Afghan origin, whose identity has not been revealed, became a stowaway on a flight from Kabul, Afghanistan, to New Delhi, India.

According to local media reports, the minor was found by authorities while walking along the runway at Indira Gandhi International Airport after the vehicle landed.

Although few people survive this type of journey due to the low temperatures and lack of oxygen, the teenager confessed to the agents that his journey began out of curiosity, but his true intention was to reach Iran.

According to the officers' report, the minor managed to hide in the central well of the plane's rear landing gear, which is considered an extremely dangerous space due to the movement of the wheels.

Authorities also noted that shortly afterward, airline personnel found a small red speaker belonging to the Afghan teenager at the same location.

For its part, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security in India, revealed that the minor traveled undetected by employees.

After learning the minor's objective, authorities were able to determine that the stowaway took advantage of a group of passengers entering the aircraft to blend in with them without being seen.

Once on the runway, he broke away from the crowd and hid in the plane's landing gear, which landed in the Indian capital on Sunday at around 11:10 a.m. local time (5:40 a.m. GMT).

International media also reported that the young man was detained by officers for several hours for questioning and then sent back to Kabul in the same vehicle.

Indian authorities were able to establish that the teenager decided to board the plane's rear seat, unaware of its final destination, a situation that is familiar in some Asian and African countries.
