Mayor Hugo Kerguelén expressed his pride in López's decision, despite having been unemployed for two months and the fact that his wife was also not receiving a salary.
"Carlos shows us that Montería's greatness lies in its people. No matter how difficult your situation, when you act with values, you instill trust and make us proud. To you and all the people of Montería who believe in doing the right thing, thank you from the bottom of my heart!" the local leader expressed.
