The Mendoza Food Bank Foundation is moving forward toward its goal of building its own operations center in Mendoza , and it needs the help of the people of Mendoza to achieve this goal. That's why it will hold its annual dinner next Friday, August 29th .

For 23 years , the Mendoza Food Bank Foundation has contributed to reducing hunger through food donations from individuals and businesses that are fit for consumption. The organization also distributes these donations to organizations that provide various food services . The Food Bank also educates people about possible solutions to the problem of hunger .

Currently, the Food Bank works with 85 social organizations , helping feed more than 47,000 people . In 2024 , more than 1,800,000 kilos of food were rescued and distributed, reaching those most in need.

According to the foundation, the demand for food from vulnerable sectors is already constant , and preventing food loss and waste presents complex but necessary challenges.

The goal of the 2025 Food Bank annual dinner is to raise funds to continue construction of the new operations center , an essential location suitable for increasing food storage and delivery capacity .
