Ghost cancels first Mexican show due to Tobias Forge's health issues.

The long-awaited start of Ghost 's series of performances in Mexico City was unexpectedly interrupted on the night of Tuesday, September 23 , when promoter Ocesa announced the cancellation of the concert at the Palacio de los Deportes minutes before it was due to begin.
The company reported that the reason was a health complication for the Swedish band's leader. "The concert scheduled for today (September 23) at the Palacio de los Deportes has been canceled due to food poisoning suffered by Tobias Forge , which makes it impossible for the band to perform tonight," reads the statement published at 7:47 p.m. on social media .
The announcement came as a surprise to the thousands of attendees who were already near or inside the venue, ready to catch the first of three shows scheduled as part of the Skeletour World Tour. The band was scheduled to perform at 8:00 PM.
Despite the unforeseen event, Ocesa assured that the other two concerts in the nation's capital remain on. "The concerts on September 24 and 25 , which are sold out, will take place as planned," the promoter added.
Regarding the canceled date, no rescheduling is planned . The production company explained that tickets will be fully refunded : "If you made your purchase online, the refund will automatically appear on the card you used to purchase your tickets, according to the timeframe established by your banking institution. If your purchase was made through Ticketmaster points, you can request a refund starting September 26th at the same location where you made the purchase."
The canceled concert would have marked the start of a series of performances in Mexico by the Swedish group, known for its theatricality and songs like Dance Macabre and Call Me Little Sunshine .
