See beyond? 'Elio,' Pixar's new adventure hits theaters: details and Colombian release date

The universe is vast and mysterious! A space adventure from the creators of hit films like "Coco" and "Inside Out" is coming to Colombia.

For this June, Pixar has a new project prepared: 'Elio' , a story that speaks to the immensity of the cosmos and the desire to fit in somewhere.

This year, the film studio surprised everyone with a completely different film that promises to "wrinkle the hearts of anyone who sees it."

With a strong message that intensifies important values ​​and human desires: family unity, the power of friendship, and being part of something, 'Elio' arrives in the country to become a beloved film for the entire family.

Running 1 minute and 39 minutes, this film introduces 'Elio,' an 11-year-old boy who has a dream of being abducted by aliens. This dream is born out of a need to find a place where he can fit in.

Life presents this boy with many challenges. After the loss of his parents, he is placed in the care of his aunt, "Olga," a disciplined soldier who wants to become an astronaut, but this dream is cut short when she takes charge of her nephew.

From there, a series of problems arise between the two, along with the protagonist's desire to discover "his true path."

This time, Pixar wanted to focus on a fantasy story set in the lush "Comuniverse," a place millions of miles from Earth that brings together diverse life forms. In this dimension, there are a wide variety of aliens, and "Elio" will be the leader who guides them.

Directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina, 'Elio' boasts a track record of acclaimed filmmakers responsible for films such as 'Bao,' 'Coco,' 'Inside Out,' and 'Red.'

The film also stars the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, recent Oscar winner, Remy Edgerly, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil, and Shirley Henderson.

This animation is characterized by an intense range of colors. Bright shades of blue, green, and purple captivate the viewer from the very first moment, leaving them completely mesmerized by the vividness of each scene.

The film fulfills its objective: to immerse people in this galactic universe and, like any Pixar film, tears are a must.

One detail is that, in the credits section, the Argentine band Miranda was in charge of performing the song "I Want to Be Your Friend," a single composed by Ale Sergi and now available.

This adventure, science fiction, and comedy film will be released on June 19th in all Colombian movie theaters.
