βWe use all available information in the visa review and verification process to identify applicants who are inadmissible to the United States, including those who pose a threat to the country's national security ,β the post reads.
In addition, the diplomatic representation office explained that since 2019, the United States has required visa applicants to provide social media identifiers for the past five years on their immigrant and nonimmigrant forms.
"Applicants must certify that the information provided in their visa application is true and correct before signing and submitting it," the agency added, emphasizing that omitting any information on digital platforms may result in the denial of the document and ineligibility for future applications.
