Bernwiller. “Henner Hisla”, metamorphosis of an artist’s house

When the former home of a renowned painter is transformed into a meeting place, a place for supplies, exchange, play, and exhibitions. This is the magic that happened in Bernwiller, where Jean-Jacques Henner's house began its new life after fourteen years of development. Residents of the Sundgau region and elected officials flocked to discover it on June 28.

From the basement to the attic, the possibilities are now numerous in the Henner house in Bernwiller. Purchased by the town in 1998, the house that was once the property of the Alsatian painter Jean-Jacques Henner presents itself...
