Queen B conquered Paris Thursday night with a breathtaking three-hour show. And while she never mentioned Donald Trump, the song choice was far from trivial.
All around the Stade de France, figures stroll in sequined fringed jackets, faux Stetson hats screwed onto their heads, and cowboy boots on their feet. Not exactly the looks you'd usually see in Seine-Saint-Denis. Especially when the Paris region is sweating under a heatwave and the thermometer reads 31 degrees in the shade, a few hours before the summer solstice.
Téo—without the "h," he insists—in his early twenties, may be sweating under his denim jacket branded "Cowboy Carter," the name of the tour and the latest album by the star of the evening, but he's ready to make any concessions for his idol. "I've been planning my outfit for months! The look is also part of the experience." You could almost forget you're going to a concert.
