Dijon: Distinguished guests to conclude the Clameur(s) festival

Albin de La Simone, Mathieu Sapin, and Muriel Barbery will be among the guests at the closing weekend of the Clameurs(s) festival on June 13, 14, and 15 in Dijon, a literary gathering. Authors, publishers, librarians, and illustrators will be featured in the various events on offer: workshops, pleas for a crime novel, exhibitions, performances, and more.

The Clameur(s) festival is innovating for its 13th edition: for the first time, the event has a patron, in the person of Muriel Barbery, a French novelist. This marks a return to Dijon for the author of The Elegance of the Hedgehog and a philosophy professor who taught at the University of Burgundy. The theme of this edition, which has been running since January and culminates in a festive weekend on June 13, 14, and 15, is “Together: Being, Doing, Living.”

The artist and author Albin de la Simone will be present on Friday, June 13th at the Magnin Museum for a guided tour around this work of his first work Mes Battements at the Magnin Museum, followed by a meeting with the singer in the evening. He will return on Saturday, June 14th for a meeting hosted by Cathia Engelbach with Marguerite Abouet and Mathieu Sapin, in the Academy room. Indeed, the Dijon-born comic book author is one of the festival's guests, he will also participate in a "drawn battle", with Maëlle Réat, at the Magnin Museum. The principle? Draw in a few seconds a word suggested by the host or the public.

The event will also open with a theatrical happening entitled “Resonance” at 5:30 p.m., by the Stelisto De Tempo Company . Actors Céline Hilbich and Olivier Nikolcic will offer an enchanted interlude with poems set to music.

The Clameur(s) festival also features Pleas for a Crime Fiction: Saturday, June 14, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Salle des Pas Perdus, at the Dijon Court of Appeal. Three crime fiction authors (Audrey Brière, Aurélien Lozes, and Fabrice Tassel) will defend their work before two prosecutors and a (merciless) jury.

Numerous workshops and activities will take place throughout the weekend, including an exhibition at the Hôtel de Vogüé and the presentation of a Nina Neuray residency in twelve Dijon school classes. Finally, the festival will conclude with Thomas Flahaut exploring the meaning of the word "together," the theme of this 13th edition of Clameur(s).
