Dordogne: The Arnaut de Mareuil Vocal Ensemble enchants Périgueux and Brantôme

Immerse yourself in the world of Baroque music with the Arnaut de Mareuil Vocal Ensemble, performing this weekend in Périgueux and Brantôme, accompanied by the Ensemble La Domitienne. The Brantôme concert will be followed by a gourmet experience featuring the Périgord strawberry.
It is in the Saint-Georges church in Périgueux that the Arnaut de Mareuil Vocal Ensemble (Evam) has the great pleasure of giving its first concert of the summer, this Saturday, June 28th, starting at 8 p.m. The second will take place the following day, Sunday, June 29th, at 5 p.m. in the Brantôme Abbey.
Led with talent and brilliance by Christophe Corp, the Vocal Ensemble will perform some great French Baroque motets by François Giroust, Louis-Nicolas Clérambault, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Michel-Richard Delalande and Jean-Joseph de Mondonville.
These two concerts will feature the Ensemble La Domitienne. Conducted by Christopher Hainsworth, the ensemble will accompany the choir and perform a work by François Couperin. The Brantôme concert will be followed by a gourmet moment featuring the Périgord strawberry.
Concert, Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, in Périgueux and Brantôme. Admission is 13 euros and free for children under 12.
