Pianist Jean-Frédéric Neuburger will be on stage at the Grange de Meslay on Sunday, June 15, to conclude the first weekend of the festival, founded in 1964 and dedicated, as tradition dictates, to piano and chamber music.
René Martin, the artistic director of the Festival de la grange de Meslay (1), was keen to maintain the tradition started by the Russian pianist Sviatoslav Richter – its founder –, who reserved the final concert for a great virtuoso. This year, he therefore invited Jean-Frédéric Neuburger – " a performer of incredible talent and an astonishing composer, who does not occupy the international place he deserves " – for a romantic recital, constructed in three parts: Bach's Chaconne , Schumann's Kreisleriana opus 16 and Franz Liszt's Sonata in B minor .
