Sainte-Maxime: the president of the twinning committee, Selma Polovina, makes an official visit to Neuenbürg

Selma Polovina, president of the Neuenbürg Twinning Committee, is the face of this Franco-German understanding in Sainte-Maxime. The representative from Sainte-Maxime made a three-day official visit to the twin town of Sainte-Maxime, which was celebrating its 750th anniversary. It also celebrated the 50th anniversary of its annexation to the municipalities of Dennach, Waldrenach, and Ambach.
At the opening ceremony of the festivities and after the inaugural speech by the mayor of Neuenbürg, Fabian Bader, Selma Polovina spoke on behalf of the city of Préconil.
"I took this opportunity to convey Vincent Morisse's best wishes. I also recalled the depth of Franco-German commitment, while emphasizing that while the official twinning between the two municipalities dates back 30 years, the first exchanges date back more than 40 years. They were initiated by our president at the time, Dominique Paturet, and her counterpart, thanks in particular to school exchanges."
A quiz with German citizensSelma Polovina is also co-president of the Association of Former Young Ambassadors of the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO), acronym for the French-German Youth Office. It was in this capacity that she hosted a quiz with the citizens of Neuenbürg, among other things.
The president of the twinning committee also visited Karlsruhe, accompanied by the president of the Franco-German Association of Neuenbürg, Johannes Lang. "The French Consul General invited me to attend the Bastille Day celebrations. Celebrating the French National Day in Germany was a very special moment for me," enthuses Selma Polovina.
The representative thus perfectly fulfilled her role as Sainte-Maxime's ambassador. "I now invite our members and all those who wish to join our association to meet on Sunday, September 7 at the Associations Forum. Our annual meeting will take place this year in Toulouse, from October 2 to 6."
