The ephemeris of July 2: in 1939, the birth of the Circuit des remparts d'Angoulême

The Angoulême "Circuit des Remparts" celebrates its 86th anniversary today! Stretching 1,279 meters in the city center, this unmissable event for classic car enthusiasts still brings together prestigious drivers and legendary cars for three days.

This year, the legendary race will take place on September 21, 2025. The traditional poster for the event was unveiled last February during the International Comics Festival. It pays tribute to Michel Vaillant, the pilot imagined by cartoonist Jean Graton in 1957.
