Beware of infection: Sunscreens and sprays recalled due to microbiological risk

Be careful if you have recently purchased sunscreens .
Ten ParaSol brand creams and sprays, including some for children, have been recalled since Friday, May 2 due to the potential presence of the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
These are the bottles "Spray Sensitive 30", "Spray Sensitive 50", "Spray 30 Protection & Tanning", "Spray 50 Protection & Tanning", "Milk 50 Children", "Spray 50+ Children", "Face Cream Sensitive 50+", "Milk Sensitive 50 mini", "Spray Sensitive 30 Mini" and "Spray Sensitive 50 mini".
The affected batches begin with 0125 - 0225 - 0325 - 0425. They were sold from March 10 to April 30 in Auchan , Carrefour , Intermarché , Leclerc and U supermarkets across France, according to the government website RappelConso.
"Many different infections"The bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa is "responsible for many different infections," the MSD Manual reports, including swimmer's ear, malignant otitis externa, hot tub folliculitis (pus-filled skin pockets), and Ecthyma gangrenosum (painful ulceration).
The bacteria can also cause infections of the eyes, soft tissues, urinary tract, bloodstream, heart valves, bones and joints, as well as severe hospital-acquired pneumonia.
"Doctors diagnose Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections by taking a sample of blood , other body fluids, or wounds and sending it to a laboratory for culture and identification of the bacteria," the manual states.
