Chagny. An X-ray and ultrasound practice has just opened.

A radiologist and former head of clinic at the Hospices Civils de Lyon, Dr. Chabanol holds several inter-university diplomas (DIU), notably in nephro-urological, vascular, and osteo-articular imaging. Living between Chalon-sur-Saône and Beaune, two cities he particularly likes, the idea of setting up a practice in Chagny was born from a meeting with the pediatrician at the Pôle Santé and Lou Labry, the delegated health advisor.
To bring this project to fruition, he surrounded himself with several professionals: Jean-Michel Lebay, with whom he has been collaborating for 5 years, and Jérôme Escalié, both sonographers; Sophie Escalié, a radiology technician; Jennifer Trémeau and Samia Ouardi, medical secretaries experienced in the field of medical imaging. "This practice is the project of a lifetime. An adventure carefully considered over the past two years with Jean-Michel, and brought to fruition with trusted collaborators. Most of us have known each other for many years, and form a close-knit and complementary team," says Dr. Chabanol.
The team is moving into pleasant, spacious, and fully adapted premises located on the ground floor. The layout of the office, with a surface area of 147 m2, was designed in close collaboration with the town hall, with the support of Mayor Sébastien Laurent, the expertise of municipal architect Amyitis Filippi, and Mr. Gauthey, project manager.
"The deadlines were perfectly met and our goal of creating a versatile and diversified practice, supported by a competent, supportive and welcoming team, seems to have been achieved," says Dr. Chabanol. A specialist in vascular imaging, he is a member of the team of "super-specialists" in vascular imaging at Télémédecins de France (TMF), the national teleradiology network to which the practice belongs: this service guarantees continuous access to radiographic examinations for patients.
"Artificial intelligence, used only for second readings, can provide valuable support for strengthening diagnostic security. It will therefore be integrated into our operations starting in June," he explains. Open since April 16, the practice is already enjoying a good turnout.
