Consumer reminder: these cheeses from Lidl and U should not be consumed

Several brands are affected. For those sold by Lidl, these are the cheeses "Camembert 250 g", "Coulommiers 350 g", "Petit des champs 200 g"; "Fromage ovale Le Crémeux 300 g", "Camembert tripartite 250 g", "Bûche de chèvre 180 g", available until August 9 and with a minimum durability date of until August 12, 14, 17, 19 and 20.
For U stores, these are “Le Carré Pasteurized Cheese 23% Fat U 230g” and “Pasteurized Camembert 21% Fat U Box 250g”, both from the U brand, with best before dates between July 14 and August 17.
Symptoms to watch forIt is recommended to stop eating these cheeses and to destroy them, but a refund is possible: for Lidl items, you have until Friday, October 10. For U items, until Sunday, August 31, 2025. In case of consumption, the symptoms to watch for are "fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches." It is then recommended to consult a doctor and report this consumption.
Pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly careful, as Rappel conso reminds us: “Severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur […] Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks.”
