The narrow streets of the Marais district, in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, often turn into an amateur fashion show. Berets, shoulder bags, denim ensembles... the latest trends are all tailored to suit everyone's style. But in this bourgeois-trendy neighborhood, many stroll around with a rather unexpected accessory: wired headphones.
Quentin, 29, with a suit jacket and a well-groomed moustache, explains that he uses them to enhance his outfits: "There's a bit of a Back to the Future feel to it: it reminds me of when I used to wear them all the time when I was younger." The same goes for Ella, 25 years old, white linen shirt and messy bun: "It always adds something extra to an outfit. And for us girls, wired headphones go well with big earrings."
As is often the case when a trend is born, it comes from a star. This time, it's American model Bella Hadid who has brought wired headphones back into fashion.
