Controversial influencer AD Laurent's TikTok account deleted after report

Finally! The TikTok account of influencer AD Laurent, which shares misogynistic and virile content, was deleted on Thursday, May 15, according to an AFP report, the day after a report from the Minister Delegate for Gender Equality, Aurore Bergé.

" Following my report yesterday, the 'AD Laurent' account was banned from the TikTok platform . And since this report, many of you have written to me to inform me of other accounts. Other reports will follow. Social networks are not a lawless zone ," the minister said on the social network X.

With more than 1.8 million followers on the platform, the 30-year-old influencer, Adrien Laurent, aka AD Laurent, was spreading " a distorted and toxic vision of sexuality where domination and violence take precedence over respect and consent ," the minister justified in a letter addressed to the head of TikTok France and revealed by RTL. She took the opportunity to point out that the influencer's account had already been suspended by Instagram (Meta group).

The influencer continued to post content on TikTok that the minister deemed " extremely worrying ": " repeated live streams with young girls, whose age is difficult to determine because they appear so young ," with " constant sexual innuendo ," and " videos depicting violent and non-consensual sexual practices." " These images contribute to entrenching a culture of hypersexualization and submission of women, exposing an ever-younger audience to representations that are contrary to the fundamental principles of equality and respect ," Aurore Bergé continued.

Former reality TV contestant turned pornographic actor, Adrien Laurent, who also performs in nightclubs, has built a huge following on social media by promoting masculinist and hypersexualized attitudes and clichés.
