Tonight begins the last salvo of the winter holidays for the inhabitants of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers. Regions where gastronomy is honored, where the fork knows how to be simple without sacrificing quality. Out of the question for these epicureans of (the) zone A to be satisfied, during a stay in the capital, with a pittance as difficult to swallow as the bill. The latest studies reveal that you have to count, for a full meal (without drinks) at lunch, between €15 and €25. It all depends of course on the neighborhood and the establishment chosen.

Treating yourself to a quick lunch - a velouté and a bun for €15.50 at the excellent Mannie (32, rue Coquillière, 1st arrondissement) or a gourmet sandwich, drink and dessert included for €14.50 at Comptoirs Les Deux Magots (2, rue de Buci, 6th) - is in no way comparable to a real meal taken at the table of chef Julie Bavant at Pistil (12…
