ITV Benidorm star 'will get last laugh' as she shares funeral plans

Comedian Crissy Rock has already planned out her funeral. The Benidorm star, 66, has not even hit retirement yet with her still putting on regular stand-up shows, and even organising an upcoming tour in the UK - but she already knows how she plans to leave the world.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the Liverpudlian actress admitted: "I've got a funeral plan. When I go, Debbie Bennett from Liverpool is doing my funeral. She said she will come and see me in St Helens and she asked for six tickets, so I said, 'Are you bringing the pallbearers as well?' And then if I die on stage, then you haven't got far to go!"
She added: "I've picked my own coffin. I said I want to know what I'm lying in, so I bought myself a white coffin and then people can sign on it. People don't think about that, but I thought 'Hang on, I'm not insured here. If I pop my clogs, my kids are going to be like who's going to bury her?'" She joked: "They'll be drawing straws.
"But your life goes by so quick. So I've paid for my own funeral. I want a juke box at the altar with California Dreams going in and Bye Bye Baby Goodbye for the end. I always say 'tra, tra, tra' at the end of my show, so I'm going to have a video of that as well."
On a more serious note, Chrissy continued: "There's no fun in dying, but you have got to make sure that the people who are left behind are not going 'oh my God, what do I do now?' I won't leave them wondering what I want or like."
Speaking about her upcoming tour, Crissy said that fans can expect to hear about her journey from Christine Murray to Crissy Rock. On needing to add more dates, she said: "It's gone berserk. I can't believe it. I'm really excited about it."
"It's a journey of up and down," the star added, as she shared that she is set to talk about darker times in her life but will still show off her comedic skills. The former ITV star said: "I think that's how I've coped with my life. Through humour."
Crissy is currently touring the UK with her stage show An Evening With Crissy Rock: From Bedlam To Benidorm. As well as the June 2025 tour, dates will be extended into Spring 2026. Visit her website to keep up to date with the latest dates and locations and to book your tickets.
