A fire in the Milan area erupts, sending up a tall column of black smoke.

Flames and heavy black smoke, then firefighters intervened. A fire broke out inside an abandoned warehouse on Largo Alcide De Gasperi in Casorezzo (northwest Milan hinterland) on the afternoon of Thursday, August 7th.
The flames were extinguished by firefighters from the Milan provincial command, who were on site with personnel from the Legnano and Inveruno units. Fortunately, no injuries or poisoning were reported.
The flamesThe incident occurred shortly after 3:30 PM, according to the operations center on Via Messina. Some residents, noticing a tall column of black smoke, immediately alerted 112. The report was forwarded to the provincial fire department operations room, which dispatched three teams to the scene.
The causesThe fire has been extinguished, but it's currently unclear what started it. The warehouse, abandoned for several years, has become a shelter for several homeless people.
