Fondazione Bicocca is born in Milan, the university's gateway to Europe

The Bicocca Foundation is born in Milan, a new network for higher education, research and technology transfer.
The foundation, established by the University of Milan-Bicocca and presented on Monday 24 February in the Aula Magna of the university, during the event “Connections for the future”, will support the University of Milan-Bicocca in its teaching and scientific activities, increasing the competitiveness of the university.
The eventPresent at the official event were the rector Giovanna Iannantuoni, the president of the Foundation and deputy rector of the university Marco Orlandi and the undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alessandro Morelli.
And then again: the Councilor for Economic Development of the Lombardy Region Guido Guidesi and the Councilor for Economic Development and Labor Policies of the Municipality of Milan Alessia Cappello.
The missionAmong the main purposes of the Bicocca Foundation, the support of academic entrepreneurship and the valorization of intellectual property and the support of student services and orientation initiatives.
Without forgetting the participation in international, European and national projects to attract funding to support research and innovation.
The headquartersFondazione Bicocca will have its headquarters in the main building of the University, in Building U6 “Agorà”. A short distance away, in BiM – the large urban regeneration project that is transforming an iconic building by Vittorio Gregotti into a cutting-edge work destination – the Bicocca Pavilion, the new Innovation Hub of Fondazione Bicocca, will find its home. The goal? To connect the excellence of the University with the world of business.
