Milan paralyzed, traffic at a standstill on ring roads and highways: the situation

Traffic is at a standstill on Milan's highways and ring roads. The severe weather that has hit the city is creating difficulties for drivers heading to work. Several roads are congested, with traffic jams, delays, and lines of cars at toll booths. Many workers have chosen to take their cars instead of public transportation, partly because of the strike .
Traffic on the highwayAccording to Autostrade per l'Italia reports, traffic is widespread on all main roads. On the A8 Milan-Varese motorway, there are tailbacks between Busto Arsizio and Milano Nord towards Milan. There are also tailbacks between Fiera Milano and the junction with the A8/A4 Turin-Trieste motorway, also towards the city.
On the A4 Milan-Brescia motorway, the Sesto San Giovanni entrance towards Brescia is closed (recommended entry at Monza). Heavy traffic, with occasional tailbacks between Pero and Milano Est towards Trieste. On the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, tailbacks are present between San Giuliano and the A1/Tangenziale Ovest junction towards Naples.
Queues on the ring roadMilan Serravalle reports heavy traffic on the A52 between Milan and Baranzate towards the Rho overpass. Traffic is also heavy on the Northbound motorway, with tailbacks between Barriera Sesto San Giovanni and Viale Forlanini/Linate towards the A1 Bologna.
On the A50, there is traffic jam between the A4 interchange and the SP 59 Corsico/Gaggiano road towards the A1 Bologna. Traffic is also heavy between the A7 interchange and Cusago Bisceglie towards the A8 Laghi. Finally, on the A51, there is intermittent traffic jam between the A1 interchange and Lambrate/Segrate towards the A4 Venice.
