Milan, Theo opens to Al Hilal. For the right flank Tiago Santos or Vanderson: the negotiations

Milan in recent years was aligned on the left: Theo Hernandez leader of a party that led the team to push in his direction. From next season the club will review its convictions: with the trust withdrawn from Theo, they will look for new leaders, perhaps on the other side of the pitch. Hernandez seems to have convinced himself to accept the Arab offer from Inzaghi's Al Hilal: the resistance of the past few weeks seems to have softened. Theo had refused the Saudi League for technical and family reasons, while now the rich relaunch could end up convincing him. An agreement between the clubs will then be needed.

Milan will then be able to rebalance the forces and find references on the right: among the candidates are Tiago Santos of Lille and now also Vanderson of Monaco. Different profiles: the first, at 22, is recovering from a long injury; the second, 24, is in the decisive phase of his career. Tiago Santos was also the first to be intercepted by the Rossoneri radar: already in his debut season in France, after Lille had purchased him from the Portuguese team Estoril Praia who in turn had noticed him among the young players of Sporting Lisbon. Result: 56 total games with Lille, four goals scored in total. In the first season 43 games and three goals, one for each competition: Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Conference League. In the one just ended 13 appearances and one goal, six games combining Champions League qualifications and a single round, and seven in the league before the injury to the cruciate ligament in his left knee. An injury so serious that it has prevented him from returning to the field: he has been out since October. The recovery process is nearing completion even if it will have to be followed by a gradual phase of return to the group once the season resumes: the physical unknown inevitably weighs on the economic evaluation. If before the price was almost unapproachable, today it is estimated at 15 million negotiable. For this reason Milan believes it can become an opportunity: under the Rossoneri conditions and after having carefully investigated the state of form. The talent is in fact indisputable: punctual in marking, fast and precise in offensive descents. A combination that the last Milan did not find between Walker and Emerson Royal: Jimenez is better in the final. New solutions are needed: a reserve can be offered by the return of Saelemaekers, back from the loan to Roma. Allegri will evaluate.

Another track leads to Vanderson, Brazilian full-back of Monaco. In France since January 2022 after his debut in Gremio, in the Principality 125 appearances and 8 goals, 9 games in the last Champions League. Milan likes him as well as other clubs, and if the market sets the price, the player's has increased in the last period: no less than 20-25 million. Having entered permanently into the circle of the Brazilian national team has helped Monaco in the evaluation: also for Ancelotti Vanderson has deserved the starting shirt twice in the last World Cup qualifiers, against Ecuador and Paraguay.
