Milan will be hit by a heat wave: what the forecast says

Intense heat and muggy weather, as only the Po Valley can experience in August. This is what will happen in Milan over the next few days, when, in the (not particularly cool) shadow of the Madonnina, the thermometer will reach 38°C. All thanks to an anticyclone of African origin, as explained by meteorologists at 3Bmeteo.

"Over the next few hours, the warm air mass that has been stagnating over the Iberian region for several days will begin moving toward Italy and will have completely conquered the country by the weekend," explained Carlo Migliore of 3Bmeteo. "This means stable, warm weather that will gradually intensify."

The forecast and temperatures

In Milan, temperatures will gradually rise as the days go by. According to current forecasts, this trend is expected to peak on August 15th, when temperatures will reach nearly 38°C.

High highs, but lows won't be cool either. Even during the coolest parts of the day, lows will always be well above 20°C (between 24 and 26°C), thus giving rise to the phenomenon of "tropical nights."
