More local police officers at the station where migrant trafficking took place

The controls and daily presence of local police officers at the Lampugnano bus station have been intensified. This was announced by the Councilor for Security of the Municipality of Milan, Marco Granelli, in a post on social media. The goal, he explains, is to bring greater security and combat thefts, illegal occupations with stalls, bivouacs and violent episodes.
"The collaboration with the station manager and ATM and their security is important, which is next to the M1 stop and the interchange parking lot. In the last few days we also cleared the area of the former Palasharp, where some people were camping out", explained Granelli. Attention on the area has also increased following the major operation that in the last few weeks led to the arrest of several individuals who were trafficking false passports and threatening or paying bus drivers to illegally take migrants out of the country. "Our city and mobility services need security. I also thank Municipio 8 which is working intensely on Lampugnano and Certosa station helping to transform these places with more security", continues the councilor.
Drug ControlOn social media, Granelli also published a report of the latest checks carried out to combat drug dealing in Milan and in municipalities such as Rho, Legnano, Rozzano and Novate Milanese. In the operation, 27 people were arrested and 25 others were reported.
In Quarto Oggiaro, he explains, a base has been identified for the packaging of doses and distribution in various neighborhoods of the city. "This morning - Granelli continued -, after some verbal contacts in recent days, at the prefecture we also met with the managers of Merlata Bloom and the Cascina Merlata neighborhood to coordinate the interventions in that context".
