Naples, earthquake of magnitude 4.6 in Campi Flegrei: strongest shock in the last 40 years
An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 was felt in Naples and the Campi Flegrei area at 12:47. The earthquake had an epicenter 5 kilometers away in the Bacoli area, but was felt in many neighborhoods of Naples, such as the Centro Direzionale and the Ferrovia. At the moment there are no reports of damage to property or injuries. The magnitude of 4.6 is the highest recorded in the last 40 years in the Phlegraean area, equaling that which occurred on the night of March 13.
The earthquake was recorded by the Vesuvius Observatory Operations Room of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. Fortunately, no requests for intervention were received by the fire brigade. The fire brigade itself announced this on social media regarding the 4.6 earthquake recorded at 12:47 in the Campi Flegrei area of Naples. "No requests for intervention," it says, "have reached the fire brigade operations room."
