Too many inconveniences for ATM transport: petition to request a refund of season tickets

Almost 600 signatures in 2 days for the "RimborsaMi" petition, with which Atm users ask the Municipality of Milan for a 30% discount on the 2025/2026 season ticket to compensate for the inconveniences suffered in previous years. The petition is in the "Milano Partecipa" section of the official website and can be signed, via Spid or electronic identity card, by anyone who is at least 16 years old and a resident or "city user" of Milan.
The promoters are the same as those of the social campaign "AspettaMi", which denounces the growing waits of surface transport. Waits confirmed by the "Transpol" report of the Milan Polytechnic, which for the period from 2016 to 2024 documented a general contraction of 15-20%, with peaks of 30-50% for some lines. "It is particularly in the last two years 2023/2024 that the reduction in trips and the irregularity of the passages of ATM surface transport have had a heavy impact on the quality of life and on the wallets of the citizens of Milan and the hinterland", explain the committees.
Compensation for disruptionsAccording to the promoters, many Atm users feel entitled to compensation for previous disruptions and a discount for those that will characterize 2025. Hence the idea of a petition to the Municipality to obtain the 30% bonus on the value of monthly and annual passes for the period 2023/2024, usable as a discount on the purchase of the same number of passes in 2025 and 2026.
"Our petition - explains Sonia Ferrari of the Basmetto Committee - is supported by 14 other committees and neighborhood groups that have signed the text and will help us collect signatures: for the Municipality of Milan to be obliged to give us a formal response, at least 1000 will be needed, a goal that we have already achieved with a 2024 petition".
