Tudor: "We want to beat Real. City? We're looking ahead, we've prepared the game differently"
“Run a lot, don’t make any mistakes, believe and have courage and a pinch of luck”. Igor Tudor indicates the anti-Real Madrid recipe in view of the eighth “World Cup” tonight in Miami (9pm Italian time). “We prepared differently than for the match against Manchester City - underlines the Juventus coach - but now we have to look ahead. It’s not the best to meet Real Madrid, but we strongly believe in it. It’s a difficult match against a prestigious team, Real Madrid is always very strong in tournaments. We will play our cards because we want to advance”.
Tudor has great respect for Real Madrid, but wants his players to turn difficulties into opportunities: "I really liked Real Madrid's last match, they played with quality and sacrifice: Xabi Alonso quickly conveyed his ideas, you can already see aspects similar to his Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi will do very well in Madrid. Real have top-level players. However, as I told my boys, you have to live it as an opportunity: everyone hopes to beat Real Madrid".
The Juventus coach will meet Luka Modric, a friend, compatriot and future AC Milan player: "Someone like Modric is born every 300 years in Croatia, he is a special player and person. A source of pride for all of us Croatians, I love him very much and I hope he continues to play and have fun because he is only 40 years old".
In the meantime, while waiting for Real Madrid-Juventus, Fluminense eliminated Inter in the round of 16 of the World Cup: "As a Serie A club we always hope that the Italians advance, but then I'm focused on Juventus and I only think about ourselves. The South Americans are a surprise, but not too much: they invest, they have quality and fans to follow. This tournament is fascinating, even if we trained a lot and we saw little of what's out there". Closure on the market: "How many reinforcements are needed? We'll talk about it at the end of the World Cup".
