European Researchers' Night at the Capodimonte Observatory: the Neapolitan sky takes center stage once again.

The skies of Naples take center stage once again with European Researchers' Night 2025. On Friday, September 26, the INAF-Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory opens its doors for an extraordinary evening dedicated to the discovery of the universe. Astronomers will accompany the public on the sky-gazing terrace for a fascinating journey through the wonders of the cosmos: from the Sun to the stars of the Milky Way, from the most distant galaxies to the most elusive comets, passing through planetary dust, astrobiology, and the most advanced technologies for building the telescopes of the future. The event is part of the Streets project, coordinated by the University of Naples Federico II, with the participation of the Neapolitan Amateur Astronomers Union and researchers from the Parthenope University, and offers a rich program of immersive experiences: educational experiments, planetarium lectures, an astrophotography exhibition, and an exclusive tour of ancient instruments and precious volumes from Naples' oldest scientific institution. On a night when Saturn will be visible in the sky, telescopes will be pointed at the stars to give everyone an unforgettable experience. Gifts will be available for everyone, and as per tradition, the "Astronomer for a Night" diploma will allow you to take home a piece of the universe. Here is the program – Free entry from 6:30 pm – last entry at 11:00 pm
