This time it's tango. The Società dei Concerti is hosting a music and dance show at the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory tonight at 8:45 p.m. " LiberTango ", a unique event that pays homage to the musical genius of Astor Piazzolla and his "tango nuevo". The protagonist is pianist Gloria Campaner , accompanied by Alessandro Carbonare on the clarinet and Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi on the bandoneon. The experience will be enhanced by the performances of dancers Chiara Benati and Andrea Vighi, who will interpret Piazzolla's notes, creating a perfect combination of music and dance. The program includes some of the Argentine composer's most famous masterpieces, including Oblivion, Le Grand Tango and The Four Seasons, offering the public an exciting journey through the sounds and atmospheres of modern tango (ticket €5.00). Extroverted and talented Gloria Campaner (pictured) tells this adventure: "There is no tango without nostalgia, melancholy, oblivion and dance."

He performs with Carbonare and Pietrodarchi in famous songs. "The tango will be played, danced and recited, it is a show that combines music with words and body movement. We threw ourselves into this project five years ago to commemorate the centenary of Piazzolla's birth and we have never stopped. This free, creative and, at the same time, profound music teaches us all so much".

Tango is not only Piazzolla. "In fact we also remember the origin and the tradition from which he then separated himself creating a new sound called precisely "tango nuevo". We also pay homage to Carlos Gardel, at the time he was a famous voice like Sinatra, he was able to unite voice, singing, poetry, music".

How did composers Gardel and Piazzolla fit into the great international music? "The first represents the old guard of the institution, with his poignant lyrics he reached everyone's heart. The second gave great dignity to this popular music born in the slums. That the whole world knows it". GL
