San Giorgio, birth point closed: confrontation between union and Asfo

Face to face, this morning, between Aurora Pallaveshi, union leader of Cisl Fp of Pordenone, and the director of Asfo, Giuseppe Tonutti. On the table the closure of the maternity unit of the Policlinico San Giorgio, brought forward to June 15, and the request, by the union, to protect the workers (17 between midwives and nurses), promoting the stabilization of the staff in the transition from the private structure to the civil hospital of Pordenone.

Tonutti has guaranteed – we learn from a note from the Cisl – continuity of work, paving the way towards possible stability. “As Cisl – Pallaveshi highlighted – we have also asked for guarantees of continuity of the pregnancy path within the Policlinico, proposing a collaboration between the two companies to have a shared obstetric file. This choice would allow future mothers to maintain a relationship with the midwives at the nursing home”. A request that was accepted by the management of Asfo.
