EssilorLuxottica and Meta Platforms launch “Oakley Meta, a new category of Performance AI Glasses” that combines Meta’s advanced artificial intelligence with Oakley’s iconic design and Prizm lenses, revolutionizing the way athletes and fans experience and celebrate their greatest achievements, on and off the field.
Oakley Meta, explains a joint note, is the new line of smart glasses born from the collaboration between the two companies after the extraordinary success of Ray-Ban Meta, the glasses with AI technology that have inspired millions of consumers.
Technical innovations: 3K video, open-ear audio and battery life
Oakley Meta Hstn, the first model in the collection, will offer consumers new technological innovations such as Ultra HD 3K recording, for sharper and higher resolution videos than Full HD (1080p).
Users will also be able to listen to their favorite music and podcasts thanks to open-ear speakers seamlessly integrated into the frame.
Oakley Meta Hstn delivers 40% more battery life, meaning up to 8 hours of use and up to 19 hours of standby time. Plus, they come with a charging case that provides up to 48 hours of battery life, even on the go, and are also available with Prizm lenses, one of the most advanced innovations in lens technology.
