For 52%, true hospitality is not measured in stars or amenities but with a food and wine welcome. This is what a research conducted by YouGov for Airbnb has revealed. (online platform that connects people looking for accommodation with homeowners who have free spaces to rent for short and medium periods) created with the first edition of I Masters of Hospitality, recognition that the platform awards to six Italian hosts (in Marino (Lazio); Lake Como; Cisternino in Puglia; Moena in Trentino; Montelupo Fiorentino in Tuscany; Scopello in Sicily) that embody the values of hospitality. The survey records first place in the ranking of gestures 63% of Italians welcome with a handshake, followed by a family atmosphere (58%), the welcome food and wine (52%) and the scent of freshly brewed coffee (46%). Compared to the more welcoming locations, the small villages as symbolic places of Italian welcome (47%), detaching the big cities (9%): a record that reaches 60% in Puglia.
